Treasure Map to the Past

A Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time and Wind Waker Cross-over

Plot: The Hero of Winds, “Link”, finds an old treasure map and rides off on The King of Red Lions in order to discover the treasure that it claimed to hold. It was like any other day, until he reached the spot. As he was using the grappling hook to search under the water, he was pulled off of his boat and into the water. When he woke up, he was on grassy plains on an island he didn’t recognize. He quickly discovered that there was no sea insight, and he was in a different world. Not to mention, he wasn’t on an island at all. The King of Red Lions, was able to contact him through the “Pirate’s Stone” that Tetra had given to Link. After describing the land to him, he is told that he is in the past Hyrule. After searching about, he stumbles upon a forest, The Lost Woods, and is lost. That’s when he meets Saria, who tells him that his only hope of returning to his time his meeting the Hero of Time, also named Link. Will the Hero of Winds find the Hero of Time, who is somewhere in Hyrule? Who will help him along the way? Will he make it back to his own time before Ganondorf destroys his world?

Rules:

*Normal general role-playing rules.
*When the Hero of Winds is in Hyrule, he still will be able to conduct to redirect winds and have all the items that he normally has. (Minus the King of Red Lions obviously).
*The Hero of Winds cannot tell anyone anything about the future, or it will change it. The most he can say is that he’s FROM the future and NEEDS to get back home.
*Two Character Max
*The Hero of Time CAN talk. (Even though he doesn’t in Ocarina of Time).
*You can’t have two main roles. For example, if you are the Hero of Winds, you can’t be the Hero of Time as well.
*Ganondorf can be a part of this, but he doesn’t have to be. He could interfere by putting random monsters out, causing havoc, etc.
*Random monsters can be rped by anyone.
*In this timeline, the Hero of Time hasn’t defeated Ganondorf yet, therefore Navi is still with him.
*Note: Main characters are throughout the entire rp, assisting characters are there until the Hero of Winds “Link” returns home, and Minor characters only show up when you enter that province (such as LonLon Ranch).
**Note: Minor characters do NOT have to be played, but can be if desired.

-Main-
Hero of Time “Link” (Adult version):
Navi: Destiny's Gate
Hero of Winds “Link” (Child Obviously): The Lone Kid
Ganondorf:

((okay, we're going to start, Lone Kid, you can god mod KORL when needed))

It had been a quiet day in the Land of Hyrule, as well as the on the seas of the new lands.

The Hero of Winds, was currently sailing the seas, looking for the treasure marked on an old treasure map.

The Hero of Time, in Hyrule, current whereabouts were unknown, besides the fact the land where he was located in. Most likely traveling, many did not worry, for he had the courage to take down any threat.

Treasure Map to the Past Ocarin10

Link was passing by all the places he had traveled on foot, to bring back memories, and because he knew that after he faced Ganondorf, he would be a child again. Meaning, he wouldn't be able to see any of these places for a long time. After a while of walking, he ended up at the top of the river filled mountain, near the entrance where the Zora's Domain was located. He walked over to where a small pool of water rested, and took a seat near. He then put the ocarina to his lips, playing the melody of Lake Hylia. He was traveling with his partner, Navi.

((none of my other characters are coming in yet))

"Hey, don't you think there's something... weird about this place?" Navi asked, drifting out over the small pool of water. "There's something about this place." She looked down into the water and shuddered. It was far deeper than it appeared from the edge. She couldn't even see the bottom.

She flew back to Link quickly and stuck to him. "There's something wrong about that water. I can't see the bottom."

Treasure Map to the Past Tumblr_l938u1Bfws1qbzf0vo1_r2_500

The hero of the winds is found in the great sea following a mysterious treasure map he found while on his travels. Nobody could tell were it was from or were it exactly lead. Link sighs to himself as he ponders were exactly he was sailing. "Hmm not even tingle could fully translate the map and it cost all my rubies..... The KORL laughes as he tells Link "Haha! Don't fret young hero of the winds as your friend has put us in the correct direction. Based on the map we are just about approaching it now."

Link looked out into the distance and saw what looked like a shimmering light glowing under the sea. "There it is!" He exclaims. As they approached the glow the hero of the winds noticed a soft blue glow moving around and started to hear a song played from the sea itself. "Huh? that music is so peaceful were is it coming from..." As the boat stopped next to the light the hero of the winds all of a sudden felt like conducting as if he had heard it before. The Hero starts counting in step waving his wand, "1, 2, 3.... 1,2,3.... I know this song its so familiar..." As he conducted along with the song all of a sudden the waters started to shimmer as the hero of winds is drawn by the glow. Then the little hero is tossed aside as if some mysterious force pulled him in as the KORL yells, "LINKKKKK!!!" Just like that the hero of the winds disappears from the great sea and is pulled through the water were he splashes on the other side...

"Woah!" Navi shot backward away from the boy that had burst from the pool. "Hey! Link! A kid just popped out like a fish!" Yes, she was stating the obvious again, but she had the bad habit of saying exactly what she was thinking, which inevitably meant annoying restatements of events.

Treasure Map to the Past Ocarin10

Link stopped playing the Ocarina when the kid popped out of the water. Getting up, he swiftly took him out of the water, and looked around. Then back at the child,

"He's probably a Kokiri," Link said, judging by his clothes, "in this water, there's a short cut to the Lost Woods, maybe he went through it by accident." He explained, then looked up at Navi,

"We've rested long enough. Let's take this boy through the short cut into the woods, then we'll head out to our next destination: Kakario(sp?) village." Holding the child securely using one of his arms, he dove into the water about halfway, entering a passage. When he swam up after the passage, he was in the Lost Woods. He was going to take him to the village, but he assumed the boy would make his way back just fine. He then returned to Navi, with a half-hearted smile,

"Let's go." He said, heading down the path that would soon bring the two back to Hyrule field.

Navi hadn't been able to talk while she hid in Link's hat to avoid the water, but once they were out, she whispered, "Think for a minute, Link. If Kokiri get too far from the magic of the forest they don't stay human anymore." For a moment she looked thoughtfully at the green clad boy, then back at Link. "Besides, he doesn't have a fairy."

"True, but, I have to keep moving. There's no telling when Ganondorf will make his move. Besides, I'm worried that if I don't act quickly, Princess Zelda will get captured," Link let a soft smile cross his lips, "besides, I know of one girl that is always within the Lost Woods." He began to walk down the path carefully, without falling,

"We still have work to do."

Saria had been wandering about the forest, heading back to the village, when she noticed a young boy, who held a resemblance to Link, on the floor of the forest. He seemed to be soaked and didn't look like he was sleeping. Just unconscious,

"Hey? Are you okay? Hello?"

Treasure Map to the Past TLoZWindWaker-Link1-b

Link slowly gains concounous after being swelled through the great sea "*grunt* wha..... where am I?" Link still zonked from shook off the salt water as he opened his eyes and went "Wah!?! Who... What are you?!?" Just as Link was about to open his mouth to say he was from the great sea the KORL contacts him through the magical stone tetra had given him.

Link I don't know were you have gone, but you must not give your true identity as one wrong move could change the entire timeline! They seem friendly just introduce yourself as the hero of the winds from the future and your trying to find your way home!

Link then says "I am link the hero of the winds! I have been whisked away from my realm by a mysterious force and I'm trying to find my way home..."

"Don't worry," Link said, he used to his Ocarina and played Saria's song. He didn't get a response, but she was talking to an unfamilar voice. He ended the song and looked up at Navi, "I think Saria ran into him. So she'll probably lead him out to Hyrule field. I would've stayed...but..." Link continued on without a word, soon he was in the village, heading to the back of it, where he would reach Death Mountain's trail.

Treasure Map to the Past Elen__s_saria_collab

"My name is Saria," She replied, but was rather confused by Link's situtation, "so you're from the future?" As a sage, she knew that it wasn't impossible. She figured that she would have to lead him to the only one possible who could travel through time: The Hero of Time. She was surprised that the future boy held the same name as her close friend Link,

"My friend, the hero of time, might be able to help you. As a matter of fact, I think he's in Kokiri village," She answered, "follow me!"

"Saria... that's a beautiful name its nice to meet you!" says the hero as he smiles. "I look forward to meeting this Hero of Time he sounds valiant." Just then a storm started to brew over the forest. "Ugg that storm looks bad..." He pulls out his baton and starts to conduct the aira of winds. All of a sudden the winds pick up as the storm is swept away even before they could get wet. "What you think pretty cool huh?"

"That is pretty amazing! You must have some sort of connection to the Hero of Time, after all, he can control time, so you both have powers," Saria said, within minutes they were out of the Lost Woods and in the Kokiri village, "here we are. I swear he was here just a little bit ago. He said he was visiting for memories. How about we check his old house, maybe he's there." She said, leading Link to a tree house, which as unfortunately empty,

"He's not here...where could he have gone?"

Navi frowned a moment under the hat. Somehow she got the feeling Saria wanted to talk to Link, and usually those feelings were right. She poked from under the green fabric and called down, "Hey, Link. Play Saria's Song. I really think she wants to talk to you right now."

Treasure Map to the Past Ocarin10

Link raised an eyebrow in curiosity to Navi, but he didn't doubt her judgement. So, reaching into his bag, he drew out a shiny, blue ocarina from it. Placing the mouth-piece on his soft lips, beginning to play the soft melody. Soon enough, he was in contact with Saria,

"Saria? It's Link."

Treasure Map to the Past Elen__s_saria_collab

Saria was surprised, but glad that Link had contacted them. He had great timing, for she needed to help her knew friend get back to his time,

"Link! Where are you? A person from the future somehow managed to get stuck here," She responded to Link, "you're in Hyrule field? Maybe you could go to a landmark? You'll go to Kakariko village? Great!" Saria ended the communication and turned to the "other" Link,

"My friend is in Kakariko Village, north of here," She replied, "as for your question, yes! Fairies accompany every Kokiri. We are in the Kokiri village, which is protected by the Great Deku Tree."

She was always right, and it made her happy to be right. "So then, to Kakariko it is. We'll wait by the..." she thought for a moment on where would be a good place. "Tell her we'll wait by the windmill. That's easy enough to spot. And we won't get run over by wagons like if we waited at the entrance."

"That sounds like a great idea!" said the young hero. As they started to walk something hit the hero when she said the great deku tree "King did you hear what I heard?!? Do you think their Deku tree has any relationship to the one back in our realm?"

The King replied "I don't know Link my mind is very fuzzy to the conditions of the realm you are in. It is possible that the deku tree here is related though I wouldn't know at this time."

The hero replies "Alright I won't make a sound about the fact we also have a great deku tree or else bad things could happen..." "Ok so how do we get to the karkariko village in the first place?" he asks the magical Saria. "Also how were you able to contact the other link like that? That was amazing!"

Link sighed half-heartedly, beginning to head to the bridge that was right by Kakariko's entrance. There was a small river they would have to cross, which was connected to the Sora's Domain waterfall. He then said,

"I suppose I should've listened to you. After all, you know pretty much any enemy's weakness, and if I'm lost, you know what direction I should go," He said, brushing bangs out of his own face, "you're such an intelligent fairy." He said, being sure to compliment her for good work.

Treasure Map to the Past Elen__s_saria_collab

Saria walked the other Link right up to the bridge, that once completely crossed, would lead to Hyrule field. She stopped in the middle of the bridge, feeling as though this scene was familiar. She took a deep breath before saying,

"Link, as a child of the Kokiri Forest, I cannot leave," She responded, "once you exit here, you'll be in Hyrule field. Then, from there, if you look out, you'll see a big volcanic mountain. Go there. That's where Kakariko village is." She smiled softly before pulling out an ocarina,

"I can teach you the notes if you want to, if you play them, we can talk at any time." She said before playing the notes.

((Link can conduct them))

"Why thank you Saria for all your help, I'll be sure to keep in contact if I need any help." The hero of the winds conducted his baton to the beat of Saria's song. "I can feel the power of the forest with this song... reminds me back at home when I spent time with makar..." As link left the forest his eyes beamed with the sight of what he was seeing. He whispered to the KORL, "King... I know this place... its the lost land under the sea!"

the stone replied, "I see it as well link, this is the land of the legends that you've been to yourself... I couldn't tell from the forest, but this field is the same one you can see from the bridge outside of the castle..." As link ventured towards the giant volcano he tried not to be distracted by how it could be possible for land to stretch as far as the eye could see similarly to back home. "I can't believe this.... I'm used to there being an endless sea, but and endless field!?" As the young hero reached the steps to the village he took a break and sat down by the riverside splashing water on his face.

Link soon found himself in the lazy town of Kakariko, which he found rather calming. He hadn't been in the quiet town for some time, and it was nice memories as a kid. He ended up looking towards the giant windmill. He remembered when he was younger there was a crazy man who played a song within the windmill all day and all night long. He wondered if the man may still be there. However, before he could get there, he got distracted by an arrow shooting game place, and ended up entering inside and paying for a game.
