Ookami-San and her Seven Companions

Complete with a colorful cast of characters, this anime is a twist on all things fairy tale.

It takes place at a boarding school high school, where there is a club that will do anything in return for a "favor" (to be decided at a later date). The main characters are Ookami Ryouko, a tough girl who wants to be stronger, and her "seven companions" in the club that will do anything for favors. These companions include crazy characters like Morino Ryoushi, a painfully shy (to the point where it's hysterical) boy with a crush on Ryouko, and Akai, Ookami's roommate.

This series has a bunch of laughs, but it has a dark side to balance out the funny.

"seven companions" as in "seven dwarfs" ?

Close. That was one of the fairy tale references.

Ookami, the main, is supposed to be the wolf from Little Red Riding Hood (ends up being a little more like Red, though, if you look at original meanings of the story. Don't want to spoil). Ryoushi's the woodsman that saves Red, and Akai is Little Red.

The one character, Otohime, is a combo of the ugly duckling, the undersea princess, and the tortoise (tortoise and the hare). She's one of my favorites.

It's compicated. It's a bunch of fairy tales rolled into one.

That sounds neat. do you know of a site where i can watch anime? Youtube fails. ><

There were a bunch of episodes when I searched the intro. Probably the English title confuses it.

This should be the first one.

That's it on Youtube on the Funimation site. There are ads, but it should be the most accurate subs. And good quality. And all in one place.

Funimation is definitely a better quality. Go with that one, even if it has a few annoying ads.

Looks like Ookami-san's being released on DVD April 3rd. There are ads all over Gaia Online for it. Makes me think that this is a big one for Funimation.

Not sure if I would, either. I can watch it off the Funimation Youtube page, and since I don't often rewatch series, the youtube thing is nice.

As there's no English release (yet) for the manga, you can find it here. There are only seven chapters posted on this site so far, but more should be posted soon.
