Deciding it might be a few minutes before the others were awake enough to do anything, Clara hopped down the stairs and bought breakfast to bring back up. She returned with a plate of fresh bread, jam, and some tea for everyone. "Breakfast," she said, setting it down on the table.

"Oh, thank you, Clara." Julius turned to Igni. "Would you like something to eat, since you skipped dinner last night?"

The demon shook his head, "I'm not that hungry. Plus, your human food won't help me out that much." He folded his wings back and smiled, tilting his head a bit, "Thanks for offering though."

"What do demons usually eat?" Clara asked, a little confused. She didn't realize there were other foods than the ones she'd seen and eaten before.

"Err..." Igni scratched the back of his head, "Demons eat human souls mostly..."

"Then it's a good thing neither of us are human," Julius replied jokingly. He knew what the demon meant.

The demons smiled and gave a small nod, happy that neither of his new friends were afraid of him for that fact. He was always losing friends on Earth because of his demonic nature and habits.

The Hard-to-Get man looked around as he waited at Castle station, directly in front of the structure. Politicians, bureaucratic and government officials all went about their business in the political capital of humanity.
They're late. Never a good thing.

Julius quickly finished his breakfast and stood. "We can't be late for the king," he reminded them.

He led the way through town up to the castle. The guards blocked their way, so Julius said goodnaturedly, "Good morning. I'm a clock repairman, and I'm sure in a castle as large as this there's a clock or two that needs fixing or at least a good cleaning."

When the guards looked at each other doubtfully, Clara took her chance. Of course there are clocks needing fixing, she coaxed. Allow us to do it. There's nothing suspicious about us. And finally the guards relented.

The Hard-To-Get man watched as Julius and his companion walked into security. Though at some distance, he could recognize the wings.
What is he doing? Ah no matter. It'll be impossible for him without the sedative I have and the only safe flight plan out...

Once they were inside, Clara asked, "What about our boss? Weren't we supposed to bring him, too?" She was careful to force everyone nearby to not eavesdrop on their conversation. It was getting more and more difficult, as they went deeper into the castle, but she was still able to distract them with other thoughts.

"He was late," Julius replied. "We couldn't wait around too long without looking suspicious. We'll be fine without him. You can knock the king unconcious with your mental powers, can't you? Convince him to sleep?" When she nodded, he said, "Then we'll be fine."

I have other ways of doing things. I don't need them
The Hard-To-Get man walked up to security and a few thousand credits looks pretty similar to an ID badge to them. He then began to look for the recognizable wings.

(I KNEW you were going to get around not having the sedative like that)

Belial peeked out from his spot on top of the castle's roof and watched the winged man and bunny girl that he had met earlier in the week walk inside with... a demon? "Seems like something fun might come soon~"

To keep the guards buying their lie as they searched for the king, Julius set to work tinkering with the various clocks. While he was here under false pretenses, he really did a good job cleaning and fixing the clocks. It was amazing how much grime and cracks could appear when clocks weren't taken care of.

Clara continued fooling the guards as she silently handed Julius his tools. She was also scanning the nearby rooms for any sign of the king. When she found him, she sent a quick message to Julius and to their demon friend so they'd be ready once Julius finished with this clock.

Julius finished with the last clock in the room--all this one had needed was a new gear in the wind up--and set it aside. He stood, brushed off his hands, and then left the room, following Clara's silent directions.

When they reached the room with the king, Julius pretended to be surprised. "Oh! I'm sorry, Your Majesty," he said, bowing deeply. "I didn't mean to intrude. I'm a clock repairman, and I wandered into the wrong room."

Clara waited for the king to relax a little before she attempted to worm her way into his mind. She could tell his guard was up because Julius had barged in.

King Lucius frowned at the young man, "Boy, I would suggest you find the right way out then." He narrowed his eyes in a threatening manner. Where the hell were his guards?

"My apologees, Sire," Julius said, bowing again. He glanced at Clara quickly.

It was now or never. Clara forced herself into the king's mind and punched hard at the mental bariers, breaking through, though it left her nearly exhausted. She then punched at him mentally, the mental barage enough to knock him out, hopefully.

King Lucius held his head in pain and then chuckled. His laughter became maniacal and it vibrated off of the walls, "Ah, just like your whore of a mother, never knowing your place!" His teeth elongated into fangs and his eyes glistened, "Just like when I drained her."

Clara's concentration broke entirely. She sunk to her knees, in both fear and exhaustion. She couldn't do it. She'd been too weak after all.

Julius cursed and whipped out his spear to protect the girl. Damn, we have to bring him alive.

The Hard-To-Get man walked quietly down the corridor leading to the king's chamber. It seems like his distraction, a fake alarm on the other side of the castle, worked. Having the schematics of the place did more than lead one around.

As he came, he heard voices and a certain distinct laughter.
Julius must be there now... Alone, or even with the support of that new demon friend he picked up, it'll be difficult. Should I go in and help him... I'll wait a bit.

King Lucius smirked as two horrible horns grew from his head and a whiplike tail sprouted out. "It seems we have some issues to sort out." He used his tail as a projectile and tried to stab his attackers. "You see, when you mess around with evil for so long, it tends to rub off on you."

[Noooo idea what I'm doing anymore]

After about 30 seconds, I think they've had enough, time to go good... for profit... and justice while I'm at it.
The Hard-To-Get man pulled out his pistol - large caliber yet compact, custom made for him. - and casually walked around the corner. He pointed the gun at the king. "Don't move, or you're dead," he said forcefully, "This gun's bullets are loaded with explosive tips."

King Lucius laughed, a weird barking laughter that chilled people to the bone. He licked his lips, "Oh...I see it's you. Always you, now why would you reveal yourself like this? I might have....a few tricks up my sleeves yet."

Queen Rositas snuck up behind him, gently lowering his gun and purring seductively in his ear, "Surely we can solve this in other ways?"

Julius swung around with his spear and knocked the gun from the Queen's hands. He wouldn't waste his time freezes yet. He still might need those to escape. "You can't win. It's the four of us against the two of you, and we have more people on the way." The second part was a lie, and the first was a stretch of the truth. Clara couldn't do anymore until she recovered a little.

The Hard-To-Get man picked up on Julius's bluff. "I've hired an entire army." He waited for the king's reaction, and while he was doing this, he slowly walked over to Julius and nudged Julius in the side, attempting to hand Julius the sedative, so perhaps they could make a move here.
