The Original Character Roleplaying High School Part 2

"I don't believe in curses either," Seraphim said, though she actually did. Werewolves, tengu, her wings, that demon... Anymore, anything was possible as far as she was concerned. "Let's go look at the animals. Are they at this museum?"

Aden glanced over at Yuuta, then said, "Well, we have to stay in at least groups of two, so... see ya!" He then followed after Yuuta, if only to keep an eye on him. "So, um... science, huh?"

"They're fake," Eliot told Zayden as they passed the bird bones. "They made molds from fossils or from something that had died and poured plaster into the molds. Real bones wouldn't hold up quite so well in a place like this." He also said this for Toby and Darcia's benefit, both of whom might possibly try to eat the plaster bones.

Seraphim, meanwhile, was looking at the giant dinosaur bones. She'd never seen anything so huge. "That could eat us alive!" she commented, partially to herself, partially to Rena. Of course, it was a brontosaurus, a herbavore, but Seraphim hadn't bothered to read the plaque in her shock at its emmense size.

"Huh. I knew science was important, but never thought it'd actually be kinda cool." He was eyeing something that reminded him of a lava lamp. Of course, it might have been an actual lava lamp there to explain convection currents or something equally scientific. "So what kind of science are you into? Chemistry? Engineering? Cloning?" The reason he asked the last one was because of a display for the cloned sheep Dolly.

"It'd eat all the trees," Seraphim said. "It's probably a good thing they aren't around anymore or we'd get squashed." She looked at another bone creature. "What's this?" she asked, impressed.

Aden blinked. "Moles? You meant hose furry things that dig up mom's petunias? What do they have to do with science?" He'd never really done well in chemistry.

"I never took chemistry. My old school let us take something else."

Then Nibbles ran off. "You brought the cat with you? And who's BunBun?!" he cried, chasing the cat with Yuuta, trying to catch it.

Seraphim fell back when the wolves ran right past her, right into the bones of a wooly mamoth. She looked up at the shaking display and cried out as it began to fall, shielding her head and face with her arms to protect herself.

Eliot grabbed Toby and Darcia by the collars of their shirts. "Be careful, you idiots! You knocked Sera--" He stopped and dropped them when the display came down. "Seraphim!" Now they were in big trouble. Plaster or not, those bones were heavy. Seraphim would get crushed if they fell, guarrenteed.

Aden sighed in relief when Yuuta caught the cat. He'd been ready to whip out his hunting skills to catch the silly thing before someone working for the museum noticed. "Sorry about that, guys. It's--" He froze when Seraphim fell into the display. He could have pulled her out, but for the fact he was too far away.

Needless to say, Seraphim was more than a little shaken by the events. Her legs were shaking even as Rose led her away from the exhibit, and after Rena gave her a hug, she collapsed onto a bench. "T-that was really scary," she said, unable to say much else.

Eliot frowned. "I think she's going into shock. That's not good." He turned to the others. "Someone get a teacher. Or a doctor. Doctor would be better, probably."

"Do you think that'd actually work?" Eliot asked, not really knowing the extent of a Cura spell's power. Maybe it could fix shock. He didn't know. "Try it. If it doesn't, we'll have to get her to a hospital. Shock shuts the system down."

Aden frowned. "I don't know what Cura is, but we really should take her to see a doctor. Shock's no good. Trust me on that one."

Shakily, Seraphim took the flower Rose offered her and drank the few droplets of nectar. Almost instantly she felt better. Not quite one-hundred percent yet, but certainly not like she would faint at any moment. "Thank you," she said sincerely. She turned to Darcia. "To you too."

Eliot scratched his head, not quite getting what was going on, but hey, if everyone was okay, that was all that mattered. "I vote we get away from the exhibits that could fall on us," he said. He figured there'd be a general consensus for safety, especially after this dangerous accident.

"Seriously? Magic flowers?" Aden couldn't believe his eyes. Never had he seen somethiung so unbelievable before. He whistled, impressed. "Sure wish I could do that. Anyway, he's right. We ought to move on before security shows up and demands to know what happened."
