Cardcaptor Sakura

Old school FTW.

Been watching the anime. I'm amazed by just how much they messed with the American version so they could put Syaoran in sooner. And of the first 7 episodes, I only remember ever seeing three of them, one as a flashback later in the series. The rest supposedly have a "dubbed" version (animefreak.tv has them to watch), but I don't remember them ever being on TV.

I don't even think they finished the English dub, did they? I remember buying the book at Wal-Mart with all of the cards and I'd dress up and pretend to be Sakura. XD

They didn't finish the master of clow series, which was when Sakura was the master. I remember that much. ^_^

I have Kero, the wand, and the book of clow at my house. My brother and I would play cardcaptors all the time. It was so much fun.

So I'm watching the Sports Day episode in both English and Japanese, and I'm amazed by how much they cut. O.o

Five minutes into Japanese and three into English, and they're at the same place because they dropped Tomoyo's fangirling over Sakura, Sakura asking her brother to take Yukito's picture, her getting conked on the head, and a few other things. Why, I'm not sure.

Now that Shaoran's in, though, it's a lot of fun to watch the Japanese version of him fanboying over Yukito and saying, "Yup. That got cut," and then watching the English to find I was right.

And omelets are now veggie wraps and eaten with chopsticks.
